Welcome
to the Drs. Carland Research Page
|
|
| To support and
encourage
research in Entrepreneurship, we are making the Carland
Entrepreneurship
Index available without charge. The instrument itself, for both
active
and prospective entrepreneurs, and the scoring instructions, are
included
here in pdf format. A manuscript which addresses the validation
of
the instrument, entitled, "The Theoretical Bases and Dimensionality of
the
Carland Entrepreneurship Index," and which we presented to the 1996
RISE
conference, and published in the Proceedings of the RISE 1996
Conference,
University of Jyväskylä, Finland, pp. 1-24, is also included
in
pdf format. We invite our fellow Entrepreneurship Researchers to use the CEI in their research. We would like for you to inform us of your usage and to let us know the results of your applications. We would really like to receive copies of papers you publish using the Index and we would like to know how well it worked for you, and any recommendations you have for us in revising the CEI. |

| A number of people have asked for access to a recent paper dealing with our suggestions for a change in Economic Development Policy to emphasize entrepreneurship rather than recruiting factories. That article, together with a power point of key graphs which are involved in the article is posted to the right. | Economic Development:

| We recently produced a Webinar in
